Your Passivehouse journey begins here.

1. Initial Passivehouse Consultation

During this time we can begin to learn about your dream Passivehouse , and you can learn more about Eco Haus. 

We will briefly discuss what your aim is, what building standard you would like to achieve and what your budget is to help guide us through the next 11 steps.

2. Your Passivehouse Dream

This step is aimed at discovering more about your dream.
What do you want?
What do you need?
Why?
What are your key drivers for embarking on an Eco Haus project?
 

3. Find Your Plot

Part of your dream will be a location.
Having identified where you want to build your Eco Haus, Its time to begining the search for the ideal plot.
Many opportunities are on the market now. Try plotfinder for your ideal site.

4. Design Your Dream 

Now we know your site we can begin to design a home within its surroundings.
Here we will begin to look at your requirements over the coming years, building orientation, concept sketches, the materials we could use, future proofing, and what happens to the building at the end of its life.

5. Initial Budget check.

 We are now a fair way into the process of creating your dream home.
At this stage we can have a quick check to learn if the financial resources you are prepared to invest are in line with the initial proposals.
Making amendments at this stage is easier than at later stages.

6. Refine your Design.

We are really beginning to understand both you and your building by now.
This stage take all we have learnt to date, and begins to refine your design.
New or changed ideas that have arisen since you have been visualising your dream can easily be introduced at this stage.

7. Planning the Build

Now we have a refined plan, we can begin to allocate money, management, manpower, materials and machines, to each aspect of the job. 
This process will allow us to further understand  the refined design and begin to look into the buildability details, and specific specifications.

8. Produce costings for the proposed design.

 Now we have a very good understanding of the details of your project. 
The team of specialist contractors have good knowledge of what is required from them.
Between us we can at this stage produce and agree on accurate costings based on the design specification.
 

9. Break Ground.

Now the fun begins as your site becomes prepared to start building your dream.
This is where a lot of the risk lies in a construction project.
Thanks to our thorough process to this point all parties involved, who have worked collaborativley to this point, have an excellent vision of what is required, and many previously unknown problems will already have been solved.

10 The Build & Monitoring Progress

Now we have a great plan and we are implementing it.
But is the project on track.
To find out we will complete either weekly or monthly analysis of the projects progress including the use of time & money, and quality assurance.
We will consider upcoming works and discuss any potential last minute changes you may want to make to the design before those stages are complete.

11.Project Completion and Commisioning

Having ensured frequent quality checked through the project, this process will involve final verification to ensure your chosen standard has been met.
After this verification we can apply for certification that confirms what was thoroughly designed is what was built.
You can now begin to familiarise yourself with your new home before the big day.

The Final Handover.

Today is the big day when you get the keys to your new home.

We will walk you through all the things you need to know, answer your questions and most importantly of all, celebrate your major success of creating a healthy, beautiful cheap to run home that does its bit to help the environment.

We will be available for the months to come to help you with any questions you may have for example changing the clock on the oven.
